House Rules

  • Extraordinary Success: Anything 5 or more higher than the target roll is an extraordinary success, which either steps up the effect die or allows you to keep a second effect die. This is to keep the math simpler and encourage asset/complication creation
  • Rolling/Effect Dice: When you roll your dice pool, you determine your total and assign effect dice. air you have any dice left over, you may then spend plots points to use them. This is to clarify the discrepancy between OM08 and OM48
  • Transition Scenes: During a transition scene, you may make one die roll or create a resource. You can either recover your own stress/powers, or roll to assist an ally in their recovery, not both. This is to clarify what can be done during a transition scene
  • Affiliations: The scene has final say on what affiliation is to be used. In a seven with three other heroes? Team. All by your lonesome? Solo. All by your lonesome, but in telepathic contact with a watcher character? Buddy. If you want to change what affiliation you are using, you have to take dramatic action, and narrate appropriately.
